# For the External Auditor — using the Togra portal

Read-only access to the production DAC's books — trial balance to source journal, without email round-trips.

You're auditing (or reviewing) the books of a production DAC whose producer runs Togra. The producer mints you an invite link from the audit pack; it opens the auditor room on the stakeholder portal, scoped to the project and its DAC ledger entity.

What you see

  • Trial balance with drill-through to the underlying journals.
  • The project ledger — the production's postings in context.
  • Period-lock status — which periods are closed and when.
  • The filing-engagement summary — where the statutory filing process stands.
  • CSV exports of what you're looking at, for your own working papers.

Read-only by construction

The auditor login cannot write to the books — structurally. The pages that post to the ledger live in the producer's authentication realm, which a portal session cannot reach; there is no "read-only mode" to misconfigure. What you're inspecting can't be edited by your own access.

Not the filing accountant

The external filing accountant — the firm that prepares the Cost of Production accounts and files the claim — is a different, writable role, invited as a group member. The auditor role inspects; it never prepares.

See the portals overview for how invites, scope and revocation work.
